What We Look For
We screen all adoption applications thoroughly. We want the best possible home for all our cats and kittens!.
Some of the things we look at are:
- Immunization of current Pets.
- Spay/Neutering of current Pets.
- Employment History
- Landlord approval (if applicable).
- References. Veterinary Check (if applicable).
- If your kitty will be indoor/outdoor or both.
If all the questions on your application are not answered, we will not be able to process it. You will receive an email requesting that the application be corrected and resubmitted.
We will also look at the cat you wish to adopt and determine if he/she will be a good fit for your family based on his/her personality and yours.
- We reserve the right to deny any application that we feel would not be the best home for one of our cats for any reason. OUR ADOPTION FEE IS $90
Adoption Form & Contract
You will receive an email containing the Adoption Contract/Post-adoption Health Concerns, The Contract requires your electronic signature.
Upon adoption, your new kitty will be microchipped. You will receive a 3rd email with an attachment containing information about the Microchip Registry. This document does not require your signature.

WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. DUE TO RESTRICTIONS AT THIS TIME. PLEASE ACCEPT OUR APOLOGY, AND ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.
Taking your New Furbaby home
Many of our adoptions take place at @PetSmartCharities Adoption Center at PetSmart in Plattsburgh NY. Please bring an appropriate cat carrier with you for pick up. We know this is common sense, but we have had several adopters show up without a carrier...lol
@petsmartcharities provides you with a coupon book with many great discounts and a free bag of, cat food.
We ask that you give a 30 day adjustment period to your new family member. If, at the end of the 30 days, you find the cat is not working out, touch base with us and we will take her back and you will get a refund of your adoption fee.
If life circumstances change at any time and you can no longer keep or care for your cat she shall be RETURNED TO FOCUS ON FERALS ONLY!
